Well move in day was a success! HUGE THANK YOU to the guys that helped move my belongings! Thank you Esteban, Tony, & Kraig! Another thanks to Dad and Nate for loading up the truck and thanks mom for helping and doing some painting of woodwork and doors this weekend. And thank you Mindy for helping me with boxes and the smaller stuff!
Most of my stuff is at my house now. Dad could work on the bathroom electrical while the guys were unloading. He got the eyeball light and outlet in and wired the switch.
Nate mowed the lawn on Friday and mom worked on some of my woodwork. In preparation for the move, we unveiled the floors and swept everything on Thursday evening. I did that to the kitchen on Sunday.
The front door and basement door were taken off and primed. The basement door jam was also sanded and primed.
We took full advantage of the Uhaul truck on Friday and loaded up some old kitchen floor debris and the Masonite we used to protect the floors and disposed of it elsewhere :)
I unpacked clothes this weekend; Mediacom set up wireless internet on Friday; and Suburban put in new windows in the attic. Nate finished setting up my desktop computer and the router.
The counter and kitchen sink were put in along with the dishwasher. We are one part away from a working kitchen sink but it looks awesome! Before our commitment on Saturday, we put felt pads on all of the furniture-to protect my gorgeous floors!-and set up my bed!
Everything is coming along and I am a sink & a tub away from living there.
YAY! So close!
