Well, we managed to fit some time in at the house even with all of our events going on. We had plant sale unloading and sorting, Join Hands Day at the ballpark, JDRF walk, a car show, and a little one's soccer game--and a family dinner in the Amana's on Sunday.
Before and after our events, we got the second coat of yellow paint in the office on the walls. I painted the baseboards in the office and dad painted more doors. The dining room butler's door is ready to put back on hinges too! Some woodwork was also sanded and primed in the kitchen.
I compared flooring sheet vinyl at GCO and Lowe's and will be ordering from Lowe's soon.
I purchased a lot of lights at Shaw Electric and Home Depot. I found a kitchen track light, hallway ceiling light, two wall sconces, a floor lamp, and exchanged my bedroom's ceiling fan light.
Sunday, mom and I took more brush and fence out in the back yard. Mom met another one of my neighbors and chatted with him for awhile. I touched up some ceiling paint upstairs and the tan paint downstairs in the corners along the red wall. A couple more coats of paint were applied to two doors.
Dad put a couple coats of polyurethane on a step to try it out-doesn't look too bad. The wood isn't the greatest, but I will live with it.
Not many pictures to show for this weekend, but I will put up what I have soon! It will be a BUSY week!!
