moving in a few days!!

First off, I will get some pictures up as soon as I can. Thank you mom, dad, and Nate for putting in some hard work this weekend! I am seeing some light at the end of the tunnel! We are continuing to work every night to get ready for moving. We changed the truck to Friday to give us more time since we have a prior commitment on Saturday.

We are down to the wire to at least make my home livable. Dad belt-sanded the kitchen counter that holds the sink to make it fit better. (Thank you Joel for lending him the belt-sander!) The sink was also cleaned by Nate and is ready to be put in. Dad worked on installing the vent over the stove. He had to cut through about a foot of wall and into the garage where the hot air will vent out. Obviously, it was more work than expected.

Nate put the silver knobs on the cabinets-I was worried they would be too small but they look fine and it is something easy to replace in the future if I change my mind.

Mom and I were on painting duty and tag-teaming everything together. We painted the stair risers or toe kick and those are now finished. Those steps will look sharp but I wish everyone saw the condition they were in previously to really appreciate their beauty. The bay window seat was painted and I painted the bathroom chair rail for the wall and started painting quarter round.

The walls in the bathroom are done being painted and the bathroom vinyl floor is being installed today. Tonight, the toilet and hopefully, the sink will be put into place and I will have a functional bathroom again :)

We decided to hold off on painting the walls on the stairs until after I move stuff in. Since it might be a tight squeeze for furniture, we are holding that off until after furniture is in to prevent touching up paint.

The floors in the office and my bedroom were unveiled. I have been dying to take off all of the floor coverings to just enjoy my gorgeous floors!

The office door and hallway closet door were hung. The bathroom closet door is finished being painted but won't be hung until the floor is in.
