Much more painting this weekend!! Thank you to my parents, brother, T., Aunt J., and Aunt M. for spending their Sundays at my house! It is always appreciated and the work is almost over!
We painted the ceilings in the hallways upstairs, the office, the stairs, and the bathroom. While the ceiling paint was out, I also touch-uped some spots in the living room, dining room, and my bedroom. Brother, mom, and I also painted the office a nice bright yellow-it looks like a light is on in there all the time! The wall stairs and hall closet was primed by brother and bathroom was primed by Aunt J. A couple spots on the stairs were also mudded since the cracks were bad.
Aunt M. put the first coat of oil based paint on the window and door trim in the office. I purchased a few more gallons of paint to finish off the color in the upstairs hallway and bathroom.
Mom and I put a second coat of paint on the walls in the kitchen. I finally figured out my counter top and someone is coming to measure this week. I will be getting Formica since I don't need anything fancy.
Sunday, a steel door was installed for the entrance from outside into the basement. This took some work since the wood frame around it had minor termite damage and was rotting. Thank you T. for helping dad, as always with this house, it was a bigger project than expected!
The bathroom fan was installed and a little more wiring was completed in the bedrooms. I never got to painting the baseboards in the bedroom and office since it was a gloomy weekend and not a lot of light to work in.
I now have a "job board" for what is left for each room. We got a few checked off but still have a lot to go!
