We had a crew of 8 on Saturday helping us! As always, thanks to my parents (especially while going and working without me Friday night & Sunday morning), and special thanks to friends D & T, Aunt J. & Uncle D., and M.!
The ladies stripped more wood-a couple more doors and started on the baseboards in the dining room & living room. Citristrip is the best wood/paint stripper we have found but we have gone through nearly 10 jugs of it! We are going to try to sand and apply KILZ primer to some woodwork upstairs to see how that goes. I have decided on paint colors for the bathroom, so after I finish washing the walls in the bathroom we can paint and install the sink in its new place.
The men finished wiring the outlets and light switches in the kitchen. They installed the vapor barrier (plastic sheet) on the walls and then hung drywall!! A new wood beam was put into place to add strength to the wall. More plaster was taken off the walls in the kitchen because it could not be salvaged. Two new circuits were also ran to the electrical panel.
Pictures will be coming soon! Stay tuned...
