Let me blow the dust off this blog! I guess I have been MIA for awhile so I haven't had any fun updates lately since we are not focusing on my house. Dad has some side projects for himself (good for him!) at home that has taken up most of his time this summer, fall, and winter.
Last weekend, we started taking down plaster on the staircase that leads into my basement. AND hung drywall. AND mudded it. It was only one wall but it still took half a day to do! It is not a glamours job (rather super dusty) but the stairway needs to be improved, including adding a light to the entrance inside. This is the door I use most often so it needs an update!
Shortly after finishing this wall, we did the opposite, which the above pictures show. We had to relocate a light switch and do some wiring updating. It has certainly posed some obstacles but we are working through them. There is only one more major wall to go and then a couple more smaller sections. Then we can paint. Nothing fancy, it will be lucky if it gets to be the same tan color in my house; it may end up being just primer for awhile!
