I told you my dad could fix anything...

This post is dedicated to dad since we just celebrated Father's Day. And we all know, I have the best dad--obviously, he is my hero and he can fix it all :) A couple of weeks ago, I was in the kitchen filling up my watering can and I felt a drip on forehead. I looked up, and in my middle can light, there was water around the rim which was causing the drip. I immediately knew it was either the shower or the toilet.

I went up to check it out and took off the handy access door on the shower, since I saw nothing abnormal about the toilet, and thanked the Lord we put the access door on that drywall to get to the shower pipes during the renovation. Otherwise, I would have a hole in my wall behind my shower right now. I called my parents and my dad said they would be right over! He saw that a pipe was leaking and so he turned the water off. The next day, he brought over new pipe fittings and soldered them together, and fixed the problem! Woo hoo!! Hooray for dad!! The first picture was the trouble spot through the access door....

The rest of the pictures show the new garage door that was put on in back and the lattice under the front porch. That is city code by the way. We have one more piece to put up but we were waiting for my tree stump to get removed, which just happened this week :)

Lastly, the picture of my furniture-less bedroom since I upgraded my bedroom furniture and moved what I had into the guest bedroom. I'll get some pictures up of that once it is all organized. But, I am thoroughly enjoying my new queen bed and huge dresser!
